What new infomation has emerged? Mohd Azlan said it took an hour and 40 minutes to put out the blaze, and it was finally put out by 7am. The losses have not been confermned  yet. They also don’t know how 13 workers are going to survive in Pakor because they have had no work for so many days and that there houses that they were living have gone.

What did you find interesting about this topic?

I found interesting about this topic was that why would they build there houses on the edge of the cliff and I also found interesting about this topic was that the fire caught on one house and then another but the other houses around it werent hurt, because normaly a fire would spread over lots of houses if they didnt put it out in time.

What did you like about the initial blog posting?

I thought that it was realy good the way Kay Lnn explained herself and the way she said it like what was on her blog she read more about which made it more interesting to listen to I think. I thought that she wrote a bit to little but when she said it was nice. Great job Kay Lnn!!

Question #7

May 6th, 2007 by joshua6 in Uncategorized · No Comments

7. Overall do you feel the U.N. is a successful organization? Why or why not. Cite examples to support your view.

Answer: I think that they are not a successful organization because they dont give every person a right in saying what their opinion is. They should have a a way of letting everyone choose their own opinion. A cite example is that many people in and out of the institution have attacked the U.N. for having to many decisions made by officials instead of people who are elected. Also the U.N. has been attaked for being suspected of coruption. One more cite example is In July 2005 U.N.peace keepers  were accused of attacking two slums in the atemp to stop criminal gangs.

This is a picture os some of the Royal British Soilders.

What is the issue?

Seven of the British Royal Navy soilders have gone back into the Persian Gulf to search for smugglers, on Tuesday.

Who is involved?

1. Royal British soliders

2. The smugglers

3. The persian government

 Who is affected and how?

The British soilders are involved because they are the ones that are looking for these mean people. They are risking ther lives. The smugglers are affected because if the British soilders find them they are introuble because they will probably be sent to jail. The Persian government is involved because they are the ones who are responsible for keeping their country as safe as possible.

What would I do if I was directly involved?

I would send in more royal army troops and put them in different places of where the smugglers might be and I would put them in camps. I might make thegulf a bit more safe by checking what ships are bringing in and I would put some more sucurity on the borders between countries to stop this from happening.

Famous Egyptians Reflection

April 25th, 2007 by joshua6 in Uncategorized · No Comments

I learned alot about families and how they were related to gods and pharoahs. I learned what the gods represented such as Ra the sun god, he was considered to be the father of the kings of Egypt. I understand about pharoahs and gods, and also learned who made the magnificient pyramids of Guiza, also the other great pryramids. What I found really interesting was how long the pharoahs reigned, and also the different ages the pharoahs could be, some were only 10 or 11 and others were 18 or older.

What would you change to improve your speech/presentation if you were to do the assignment again?

I would go into more detail about my pharaoh, writing more about his life. I would read my speech more damanding like a pharaoh or a commander of the army. Also I might use different props, like a crook which represented I was Pharaoh. But overall I thought that my presentation was ok.

Famous Egyptians Speech

April 25th, 2007 by joshua6 in Uncategorized · No Comments

Part 1

My name is Horemheb

I am the fourteenth and last king of the 18th dynasty of Egypt. I am a pharaoh, which means great house or palace. I was born on the west bank of the river Nile, and I was a commander of the army under Tutankhamen.

My name is Pharaoh Horemheb, which can also be spelled Haremhab. I am the pharaoh of the 18th dynasty of Egypt, and I reigned as pharaoh from 1319-1292 B.C. As a pharaoh I am the most important person in Egypt. I am a god ruler and a link between people and their gods. I am a high priest, the chief lawmaker and commander of the army. I was born in the area of Heliopolis on the west bank of the Nile.

I served as commander of the army under Tutankhamen and I completed the dismantling of the temples of Aton at Karnak to stop what I thought was an unacceptable religion. After this I restored statues of the god Amon and built three of the largest pylons at Karnak. I carved my name over king Tutankhamen and king Ay’s statues so they were then mine.

The impact of this meant that their names were taken off the official kings list. I had made a change in history. When I became pharaoh I abandoned my tomb because I wanted a bigger one that was in the Valleys of the kings. My tomb number is 57.

Another military man called Ramses 1, became my headman and then he became the next king of egypt in the 19th dynasty. He was like my main man that always helped me.

This is a picture of Horemheb.

1. What would you change about the final product (the wiki you created) if you were to do the assignment again?

I think that our group made a big mistake when our group went ahead because we would tell Mrs. Nash that we were done. She would come over and say where is your Noodle Bib and we would say thatwe forgot to do it. Also another problem was the pages we had to tranfer all our info to another page. But overall I would say great job!! Maya and Michael.

Ancient Africa Reflection 1.

1. What did you learn from this task?

I learned from this task how to make wiki space pages and how to edit and put pictures

onto the pages. Also using team support effectively.

2.  Did you find this difficult or easy? Why?

I found this assignment  a little easy because all it was,  just making pages and putting

info onto them. I found putting the pictures on a bit hard because they always deleted

or didn’t work. Also I kept forgetting that someone else was editing the page.

3.  What would you change about the process you went through to complete          the wiki if   you were to do the assignment again?

I would go a bit slower because our group went a bit to fast. I would also change the         layout of my pages, because where I put my citations and pictures was not the best

        spot.
